We just finished up Domestic Ministry!! The 3 gap year squads spend a week serving at the Adventures in Missions Disaster Relief Base in Adrian Georgia. In a few words it was GLORIOUS!!! Not only was there running water, BUT. Coffee? Every. Morning. If you assumed I had at least 3 cups with breakfast, you would be right. Having a bed and a couch in AC is something I will never take for granted again.
But seriously, it was SUCH a blessing. The team we served along side has an incredible heart for service and simply being a blessing to others. The joyful and generous way they extended service and hospitality to us was a huge encouragement in the way we conducted our own service. We painted new dorms, redecorated and re-walled. We weeded, tore out carpet, power washed and cleaned out spaces. It was the most beautiful thing to serve and laugh along side my squad, and pray over the spaces we were pouring into.
The relationships I'm building here are extraordinary and challenging. Every day my brothers and sisters push me closer to Jesus. My team, now officially named "Sparrows and Lillies", did feedback for the first time. Which is a time where we get to sit down together and give each person encouraging and constructive feedback, revealing to them areas were the Lord has blessed them and areas where the Lord may be working on them. It is humbling and an honest type of freedom that fills my soul. I am growing so so much in my identity in Christ and exploring the Lord's character as my Father, and its been very sweet.
Ways you can be praying: Over our ministry host in Greece. Pray that our Hope for Greece ministry is fruitful and radical. Pray for provision, open hearts, and that the Lord would speak transformation over the people we encounter. Also be praying for our living situation, that the Lord would just speak opportunity and abundance over our living quarters.
Thank you so so much for reading this, I appreciate all of your thoughts and prayers, the Lord is using them immensely. I love you alllllll!
Love,
Carli Lynn
